Melanie begins the 2007 with the challenge of two new singles before the release of "This Time", the single that has been released in Italy and the United Kingdom is an incredible contemporary cover of the 1982 hit "I Want Candy". It contains tracks produced by former New Radicals frontman Gregg Alexander and Marius De Vries (Madonna, Rufus Wainwright), boasted a sound of growing musical maturity and quickly became a gold record with the Top Ten lead single "Here It Comes Again" .
The Red Girl and the independent worldwide network
In 2004, Melanie founded her own independent label - Red Girl Records-named in honor of her beloved football team ,Liverpool Football Club, and her propensity to blush easily, this very important and courageous step will give her a total artistic freedom.
But Melanie does not stop here and creates a network with the best independent labels in the world (in Italy Planet Records), and releases "Beautiful Intentions", the third solo album by Melanie C, the first totally independent.
It becomes immediately a hit with the Top Ten single "Next Best Superstar" followed by the hit "First Day Of My Life ', written by Guy Chambers and Enrique Iglesias, which reached Number 1 in Spain, Germany, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland and Portugal, and made it one of Europe's most successful single of 2005.
