At the two consecutive Awards “Soberano” of Dominican Republic, now is added an international recognition with the prize as Tropical Artist Revelation of the Year to the Lo Nuestro Award of Univision.
His humility, discipline and faith have made of him, the undeniable representative of the new salsa generation that is developing in the Dominican Republic, also considered the most launched salsero at international and global level that, parallel to the hard work, has started to reap the rewards of a successful career that allowed him to mark a significant difference within the genre.
Alex Matos has maintained its strength locally and internationally, and his first hit "Si Entendieras" has exceeded all expectations, upholding as a great international success, and his latest single "Amor Perfecto", both from the album “El Salsero de Ahora”, also confirms the trend.
Several are the international events that wait for him, as the 25th anniversary of the bachatero Antony Santos "El Mayimbe" in Madison Square Garden on next March 1st. In addition, there are also several concerts in the main American theaters alongside to artists of high caliber like of "El Sonero de la Juventud" Victor Manuelle and "El Caballero de la Salsa" Gilberto Santa Rosa.
